A very warm welcome to our web site which describes this unique model tramway, the first and only one of its kind in the world. The site gives details of the layout being built to replace the original diorama built in a television set which has now been retired after more than ten years on the exhibition circuit. The layout and diorama features model Blackpool trams and illuminations. You will find details of how to make model trams and model illuminations features. A brief history of Blackpool trams and illuminations can be found together with links to sites of interest such as the National Tramway Museum, tramway societies, other model tramway layouts and suppliers of model tramways kits and bits.
